DeKalb County Commissioner Lee May will have a budget town hall meeting for the residents of DeKalb to express their opinions concerning the budget.

The budget town is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Bold Beginnings International Church, 3220 Bouldercrest Road, Ellenwood.

Commissioner May will present to the public an in depth overview of the budget, highlighting significant cuts and increases in spending, while providing a clear explanation on what that could mean to county services.

Commissioner May plans to highlight the budget and its relation to major issues including, public safety, infrastructure projects, sanitation, economic development.

“My priority as budget chair is to make sure the county is fiscally sound and making investments that foster an environment where the core needs of our citizens are met” Commissioner May said.
