DeKalb D.A. offers public Court Watch 101 PDF Print E-mail

The DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office will offer the public a free class on  court watching and code compliance training on Feb. 23, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the DeKalb County Courthouse, 556 North McDonough St., Decatur.

Topics include court watch training, the new Code Compliance Complaint procedures and the enforcement process.

“The Court Watch is a program wherein DeKalb residents demonstrate a united front against crime by attending court sessions together to provide transparency in the courtroom, accountability of criminal justice agencies, and increased community involvement and confidence in the criminal justice system,” said DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James.    

Participants meet in the fourth floor media room. A complimentary breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. Registration is required. Register by calling 404-687-7179.
