DECATUR—Georgia Perimeter College’s Office of Student Life Department is hosting its annual Service Dinner, Thursday, April 25, 6 p.m., at the Decatur Campus. Students who participate in the college’s Community Service activities will be honored.
DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson will be the keynote speaker for the event. He will share his first-hand experiences in being involved in the community before his election as the District 3 Commissioner and during his time in office.
“I feel that it is important to work in your community to make it better,” said Johnson. “None of us can afford to sit back and think that somebody else should take on the tasks at hand. We have to realize that each of us is that somebody that has to roll up our sleeves and work to make our communities greater.”
