“I want to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and hope you all enjoy this holiday season and tonight’s festivities,” Santa said to the crowd. “There’s not a person on the naughty list here tonight.”

After getting an inspirational word from the Rev. Tim Hogg of Grace Fellowship Assembly of God, attendees enjoyed performances from Peachtree Academy choruses who sang holiday favorites such as “Silent Night,” “Joy to the World,” and the Charlie Brown Christmas hit, “Christmas Time is Near.”

While lighting the Christmas tree, attendees joined in to sing a verse of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas,” while munching on cookies, candy, quiche and chicken teriyaki. Rockdale Medical staff members were also on hand to distribute cups of hot chocolate and hot cider.

At the conclusion of the program, participants purchased personalized ornaments for the hospital’s Love Light Tree, which is hoisted in the hospital every year to remember lost loved ones. All proceeds from the $10 ornaments will be used to fund patient care equipment within Rockdale Medical Center.
