The DeKalb County Board of Registration & Elections reminds voters that the cutoff date to register or change your address and be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 General Election is Tuesday, Oct. 9.

Applications can be accessed online at www.dekalbvotes.com, the Voter Registration & Elections Office located at 4380 Memorial Drive, Suite 300, or any Dekalb County Library.

Applications must be postmarked or received in the Voter Registration & Elections Office by the deadline.

Voters who wish to vote absentee by mail may submit their requests now. Application forms are available online at www.dekalbvotes.com and must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2 to be processed.

Ballots must be returned to the Voter Registration & Elections Office no later than 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 6, to be counted.

In Person Early Voting in DeKalb County for the General Election will begin on Monday, Oct. 15 at the Voter Registration & Elections Office, Community Achievement Center and Tucker Recreation Center. These polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 2, including two Saturdays, Oct. 20 and 27.

In addition, the polls at the Clark Harrison Building, Chamblee Civic Center and Berean Christian Church Community Center will be open during the final week of voting, Oct. 29 through Nov. 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., to provide greater access to early voting.

There will be no voting on Saturday, Nov. 3 or Monday, Nov.5. Voters must go to their assigned precinct on Election Day in order to vote.

Voters in Gwinnett County have a variety of options for casting a ballot this year.

Registered voters may request an absentee ballot by completing an application available on the Elections website at www.gwinnettelections.com or calling 678-226-7210.

Completed applications can be mailed to the Elections Office, faxed to 678.226.7209 or emailed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Once the ballot has been received,

state law requires that absentee ballots be returned by mail via the United States Postal Service or express services such as FedEX or UPS or delivered in-person to the Elections Office.

Voters are only permitted to deliver their own ballots, unless they are an attendant care provider or immediate family member of a disabled elector.

Voters may also cast their ballots in person from Oct. 15 to Nov. 2, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Gwinnett County Elections Office, located at 455 Grayson Highway in Lawrenceville.

In addition, satellite voting locations will be open Oct. 29 to Nov. 2, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Centerville Community Center in Snellville, George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center in Suwanee, Dacula Park Activity Building in Dacula and Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center in Norcross.

Saturday voting will be available at the elections office and satellite voting locations on Oct. 27, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
