Sisters Network Inc., Atlanta Southern Region, held its Pink Ribbon Ball on Saturday, May 29, to honor breast cancer survivors and their supporters.

The African American breast cancer survivorship organization promotes education, breast health awareness and encourages outreach and support through affiliate chapters throughout the nation.

Clayton Sizemore, former operations manager of CNN, served as keynote speaker at the event, which was held in College Park. Sizemore, a certified yoga instructor, led those who attended the banquet through a brief, but powerful meditation during his talk.

Among those honored for community service and support were: Dr. Aishia McKnight-Barron, a plastic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic breast and body contouring; Tavari Brown Taylor, a licensed and board certified counselor; Fitness Coach LaMonica Toussaint, who owns I Love My Body Fitness; Fayette County NAACP President Johnnie E. Jones and his wife, Alice Jones; Riverdale Mayor Evelyn Wynn-Dixon; and Beth Borden-Gooden, a personal life coach.
