State Rep. Pam Dickerson (D-Conyers) was named "Legislator of the Year" by the Georgia Association of Educators. This award recognizes legislators who work above and beyond, through actions, testimony, and dedicated hard work, for improvement in public education.
"It is a true honor to be recognized by GAE for my efforts in promoting the benefits of public education," said Rep. Dickerson. "I have always supported educational opportunity in our state, starting from pre-K to higher education, and I will continue to work on the issues that affect the lives of our children and educators in Georgia."
The award was presented to Rep Dickerson on Sunday, April 27, in Augusta.
Rep. Dickerson represents House District 113 and serves on the Education Committee, as well as Game, Fish & Parks, Judiciary Non Civil (ranking member), Juvenile Justice, and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
