STEM open house rescheduled in South DeKalb


Due to inclement weather expected this evening, DeKalb County Commissioner Larry Johnson has rescheduled the STEM open house featuring Dhata Harris, founder of the nonprofit, The Enitiative Group. 

The Science, Technology, Engineering and Math(STEM) event will be held May 19, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at DeKalb County’s Exchange Park Intergnerational Center, 2771 Columbia Drive, Decatur. 

Harris will showcase 3-D printing and animation during the open house. 

Exchange Park is home to the newest STEM Center in DeKalb’s District 3, thanks to Commissioner Johnson’s partnership with the Goodwill Community Foundation Learn Free programs.

These programs, hosted by Power My Learning and a host of Microsoft technology, provide learning opportunities to anyone who wants to imporve the technology, literacy andmath skills needed to be successful in both, work and life. For more information: 404-371-2425.
