DeKalb county senior citizens came to Lithonia on June 5 to test their skills at the Lou Walker Senior Center’s bid whist tournament.

Dozens of seniors filled the center’s victory room to make bids and stop opponents from making their desired scores.

Although house rules govern the game, the home team, the Lou Walker seniors, came in second to the seniors of Beulah Life Center of Decatur.

Competition was tough and in the end the first place winners from Beulah were: Ed Stephens and Leroy Brewer. The second place winners, from the Lou Walker Senior Center, were: Minnie Murry and Barbara Stephenson.
