STONECREST, GA–As Mississippi and Texas continue to rebound from the devastating impacts related to recent winter storms, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is preparing its second wave of assistance to various ministries in the impacted areas.
Shipments of bottled water and household supplies are scheduled for departure on Tuesday, March 9, and Wednesday, March 10, both at 9:30 a.m. from New Birth’s campus located at 6400 Woodrow Road in the city of Stonecrest.
“So many communities in both Texas and Mississippi are in the midst of a dire crisis that has crippled many households from having access to clean and drinkable water,” said New Birth Senior Pastor Jamal Bryant. “We are not just sending our prayers but also resources and supplies that serve as another extension of this ministry’s efforts outside of the four walls of our church.”
On March 2, the Stonecrest church sent its first shipment of bottled water to provide relief to two Texas ministries. New Birth’s initial relief effort collected more than 56,000 bottles of water that were distributed to two cities in Texas: Houston and Beaumont.
